The State of the Global Cruise Industry
Moderator Peter Greenberg of CBS News led a two part panel discussion with industry leaders and visionaries, assuring us that the state of global cruising is stronger than ever—generating $126 billion, providing 1 million jobs, and poised to welcome 27 million passengers this year.
Our first session addressed growth opportunities and business challenges impacting the cruise industry, including emerging markets for growth, shipbuilding & design and sustainability. Our second session featured new entrants to the industry and focused on innovation, disruption and setting the course for the future.
The Best Minds in Cruising: Seatrade Conference Program
The emphasis on research-based content for the 2018 program provided no shortage of highlights: getting out of the cruising bubble to attract the consumer of tomorrow, the latest in luxury travel, and regional spotlights were just a few of the most popular sessions.
The new Cruising Innovations Theatre lived up to its hype by providing a glimpse into all of the trends reshaping the industry from interior design to culinary arts to social media to the popular tech and entertainment sessions that enlightened us to the rise of the immersive vacation experience.

Bursting with well over 700 suppliers, the magnificent Expo Hall served as the event’s epicenter for sourcing vital products and solutions throughout the week.
New partnerships were forged and business deals sealed as the show floor featured the latest innovations in shipbuilding, entertainment, design, IT, safety, security, and more.
