Seatrade welcomes International Art Properties, (IAP) as a new supplier to the cruise line industry. IAP has a 40-year track record as a reliable supplier to the Hospitality & Commercial industries worldwide. They are well known for providing durable and premium quality planters, side tables, and trash/recycle containers. IAP’s designs are clean, timeless and a perfect fit for new installations and their sophisticated contemporary accessories will update existing traditional designs. By virtue of its durability, fiberglass is truly sustainable, and the material is inherently fire resistant.
From their planter collection, the “Wave” design, recently installed in the new Celebrity Edge, follows a trend toward outdoor gardens and plantings on the top decks and pool areas in the new generation of cruise ships.
Internet stations onboard could be more welcoming spaces, perhaps bringing the outdoors inside with plantscapes and by extending the hospitality of ship catering to include light refreshments, all in the interest of fostering a pleasant social media "hangout" atmosphere.
As is common practice in all hotels, offering internet service as part of their cruise cost would appeal to the X generation and millennial groups which should be a prime consideration to all concerned. It could be incredible free branding. Photos of the ship, the food, facilities and entertainment would be sent around the world, encouraging friends and family to take a fresh look at the contemporary cruising experience. Complimentary internet would also encourage executives who "can't get away", to take longer and more frequent trips as they could then stay in touch via the internet.
