Barbara Muckermann is Chief Marketing Officer of Silversea Cruises, Barbara is joining Silversea for the second time after a first appointment as SVP Worldwide Marketing and Sales Europe until 2005. Other experiences include Head of Strategic Marketing for Loro Piana, Chief Marketing Officer for MSC and Chairwoman of the Reputation Committee of CLIA in occasion of the Costa Concordia Incident. Barbara holds a joint MBA from LBS and Columbia Business School and is a Doctor of Political Sciences and Economics.

After cutting her teeth in sales, marketing and event operations across diverse industries, Chiara served as the International Hostess aboard Silversea Cruises prior to joining UBM in 2011. Since then, she’s travelled from London to Los Angeles to New York making a significant impact evolving the company’s approach to the strategic direction, operations and conference programs across flagship shows, culminating in her current role as Seatrade Cruise Global’s Brand Director.
